Books I've read
Reverse-chronological list of what I’ve read. My record keeping started in 2012, when I was 27. Anything before that is a rough record of what I can recall. This is pretty redundant with Goodreads, but sometimes it’s nice to have a simple text list, à la Steven Soderbergh.
Guitar covers
I started teaching myself guitar in May 2024, via YouTube and tabs from Ultimate Guitar, and I’ve recorded over 100 covers to date. They’re … fine! Maybe 10% are actually good and watchable. But the point of this project was to document my progress over time (Work in public once again!). It’s also been an amazing musical education in pop and rock: I’ve learned so much about how songs are put together, in terms of song structure (pre-choruses, bridges) as well as chord progressions.
